Emily Irene VanCamp has been a Canadian actress for several years. She is well-known for the roles she played in film and television. The actress is popular on Canadian and American Television. Emily became interested in the performing arts when she was in her 12th grade. She visited her older sister Katie on the set of a film. After discovering her enthusiasm for the acting world Emily decided to enroll in classes to learn about it and began auditioning. She started out with a small amount of advertisements and then was selected for Are You afraid of the Dark the Canadian horror film for children. The show had one episode where she was unable to talk. Her debut break came around the age of 15 after she was spotted on the WB's Glory Days as a regular. Emily's performances caught the attention from Dawson's creek's Greg Berlanti, who then cast her on his television show Everwood. Additionally, a dancer and a photographer Emily was once listed in Teen as one of the most popular actresses who are under 20. The Maxim's Hot 100 List of 2014 placed Emily at number 51.
