Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
One baby was strapped on my back, while one crawled inside the playpen. I spent 12 hours days, for months, sanding and stripping wallpaper and with just one child. Ha! The house was starting to look nice, but there were still many things left. The project would require money, effort, and my favorite shopping to furnish this house. My three sons and I looked for treasures hidden going to estate sales in order to help reduce my expenses. The weekly ritual was that we would go through estate and garage sales on Thursdays and Saturdays and purchase a variety of old and new pieces. My next task was to spend working on my projects on our front lawn. It was kind of like this... Here is where my obsession with the restoration of antique furniture began. I continued to restore furniture even after we had decorated our house. I rented a booth on the local market, and also sold items there. Then, I ran out of many pieces to store in the available space. I started having open houses in my home that saw more than 1 000 visitors could visit in one weekend, and buy anything they saw on the first floor. Growing Days was founded in my house. Growing Days was not only an incredibly successful business, but as well my family. Finding the balance was important for me. I wished to be a mom and also a successful business owner. Growing Days fit perfectly. Nora my 4th child was born in the year 2013. It was a great direction for my business but I also needed a vacation. I decided to take a break from creating furniture for vintage homes, and slowed down my pace in order to stay at home and help my children. At the time, it was exactly what I needed. But after a couple of months without a phone, it began to call. They were asking for my assistance in decorating and home renovations. Most of them were people who came into my residence at my open house for furniture. In the following months, I began to take on new clients according to my own pace. Soon I had multiple customers and was operating a business of home renovations. If you had told me that my company would become the premise for a DIY Network show, I would probably have thought you were crazy. Actually I still kind of laugh when I think about the idea.
