Laura Linney is an American actor, who became famous for her portrayal of powerful but fragile characters. After spending the summers at the company of her father, Laura Linney became fascinated with the theatre. Later in her time at Brown University she studied acting and also at Juilliard School, after which the career of her choice took off. Following her graduation she started an Broadway career. A few years later, she was she was on television. Her appearances have been in a variety of film, TV and stage shows since. During her career she received several awards, among them her two Golden Globe Awards. In spite of numerous awards the theatre is still her passion first and foremost. She is still appearing on stage and screen.
